Moses Salihou, Toronto-based painter from Cameroon

About the Artist

Moses Salihou is a Toronto-based painter, originally from Cameroon. Salihou is a self-taught artist. He works with a variety of media and support (oil, watercolour, acrylic, pigments, paper, canvas, and panel wood). He describes his work as “Between abstraction and figuration”. Inspired by his surroundings and everyday life, his paintings blend vibrant colours and movement to encourage dialogue about belonging and existence. His work can be found in private collections around the world (Africa, Europe, Asia and America).
