Congratulations President Joseph Boakai of Liberis. You were inaugurated earlier today as the new President of Liberia.
Indeed you are new to that position but not to Liberia and Liberians. You know Liberia’s problems and Mother Liberia and the rest of the world will watching to see how you handle her problems.
We at the Patriotic Vanguard think you can
do a good job if allowed to do so without too much foreign interference. Liberia should be independent and free. That will be very difficult because China and other powerful countries will be knocking at the door. And America will be manning that door and will be opening it just just a little bit to yell: “Who is that? Show us some ID.”
It sounds funny but not funny. Foreign interests will be your greatest challenge. Serve Liberia, but be friendly to everyone.
However America is your greatest friend and ally. How are you going to deal with that, amid competing interests? We wish you the best of luck.
Sorry to hear about the heat in Monrovia today, but what is heat to a son of Lofa county where the sun can be merciless many months in the year?
